  • Sinking Fund Replacement Millage - Vote March 10!

    • On March 10, 2020, Northville Public Schools voters will be asked to consider replacing our current Sinking Fund millage with a new Sinking Fund millage that will extend the current. The five-year request is a REPLACEMENT of the existing Sinking Fund millage and would NOT result in an increase over the current millage rate.

  • Hillside PTSA Resolution in Support of the Sinking Fund Replacement Millage

    • The Hillside PTSA supports the passage of the 2020 Sinking Fund Replacement Millage for Northville Public Schools with election day on March 10, 2020.

    • We support this millage as funds will be used for building maintenance and other infrastructure needs, in addition to needed instructional technology and security equipment.

    • Hillside is in a unique position given the new construction in-process, however this millage is important to support for the following reasons:

      •  This millage does not result in a tax increase as it is a “replacement” and allows the school district to apply general fund monies directly towards instruction and teacher salaries.

      • Hillside supports over 1,000 students every day, and despite a new building, maintenance will be needed over the 5 year duration of this fund.

      • Giving our students access to current technology and security equipment is important.

      • This fund supports all of NPS and helps prepare both future Hillside students as well as our current students as they transition to high school.

    • Adopted by the Hillside Middle School PTSA Membership on this day of February 6th, 2020.

  • Lockers and Locker Shelves

    • PTSA still has plenty of locker shelving units for sale. Owing to the design of our lockers, these shelves are the recommended model as they do not impede the opening and closing of your student’s locker or those of their neighbors.  Other models (hanging, expandable, and magnetic) can influence the opening mechanism, hinges, and fit of not only the locker in which they are installed, but on other adjacent lockers. If you would like to purchase a shelf, they are available in the main office for $20 with proceeds going to PTSA.

  • Construction Update

    • The Hillside Construction Project began last year and is in full swing. Please take a moment to read this construction update and review the site plan for more details.

    • The site plan remains accurate with the exception of student entry from the rear of the building.

    • The old Parks and Rec entrance is gone; for now, students will enter through the auxiliary gym doors.
